HELENA’S STORY:
Helena lived in Luxemburg with her parents.
The family fled – according to the Arolsen records – to France in May 1940.

According to a deportation list from Luxemburg, the family was part of a group going towards Spain and Portugal in November 1940 but the group was held back in France.

The parents were interned in Rivesaltes. The father – according to the Arolsen records – was deported to Auschwitz on September 4th 1942 from Drancy.
The mother fled from Rivesaltes with Helena on October 27th 1941 to Issoudun.
On August 26th 1942 the mother was brought to the Douadic camp. No news after that.

A number of years ago I was acquainted with someone whose name was Moishe Golubchuk (I’m not positive of the spelling). He was from Western Canada, but lived in Toronto, Canada when I met him. Possible he is related, & maybe is named after Mojsech Francus, or named for the same person. Judith Rothman, Brooklyn
