The Tobiasz Children: From the summer camp near Bialystok to the Ural Mountains
When the Germans attacked Soviet occupied territory in the end of June 1941, children in a summer camp near Bialystok were deported eastwards and ended up in the Ural mountains. Jakub (Yaakov) Tobiasz , a teacher by profession, who had lost his own wife and children, became their leader.
