The Missing Identity Project

Holocaust Survivor Children and the Missing Identity Project.

id-cardHolocaust Survivors who were children  are still trying to locate information regarding their past, and perhaps you can help them. Some hope to find surviving relatives who can tell them about their parents and family.

Others hope to find out the most basic information about themselves – their own name, their birth date and birthplace, the names of their parents. Sometimes the name these Holocaust Survivors had as children was not the name given to them by their parents when they were born. This was a cover name used during WWII or an invented name given to the young Holocaust Survivor after the war, when crossing borders illegally on their way to their new homeland.

By looking at the photos and reading the profile of each young Holocaust Survivor Child, you may be able to help.

Child Survivors

This website is trying to help more than 60 child survivors of Holocaust find information about their past.  Please  look at the photos and read the profiles of each child. Perhaps you have a missing piece of information for these child survivors. Perhaps you have  a suggestion for additional research. Click on the pictures or names for the individual profile pages.

A note of caution from the researcher of this website, Eva Floersheim: Often the information given on these pages must be considered as speculations,  as possible hints, in the ongoing search for these children’s identity.
